It is hard to believe that something that is so much a part of our current lives, started out as a carnival attraction. We think of carnival attractions as things which are strange or weird, and sometimes wonderful. But when film first began it was a wonder – the wonder of moving pictures.
Nowadays we are able to go see a movie at a cinema whenever we want. In Wales there are so many cinemas that it is difficult to count. If you even have the whiff of an idea to go to the cinema then you'll be able to find one without any difficulty. But of course if you're lazy, you could stay home and watch a movie on TV.

Other than film and TV the media that we are most exposed to is advertising. Advertising has become so pervasive that often we see advertising without having even registering it.
One of the best things about going to the cinema in Wales instead of staying at home is that you don't have the interruption of advertising in the middle of your movie. In the cinema the adverts are at the beginning and then you can just sit back and enjoy.
